Christer 'Chris' Björin is a Swedish professional poker player, now based in London, England. Throughout his career, Björin has kept a relatively low profile and avoided many televised poker tournaments and interviews.
Poker career[edit]
If you look closely, you’ll notice that Chris Bjorin and David Chiu are no longer on the list. However, the ever-controversial Chris Ferguson remains. 2020 Poker Hall of Fame Finalists Announced.
Björin has been a regular at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) since the early 1990s, and has won two WSOP bracelets.
He has also finished in the money in the $10,000 no limit hold'em main event in 1992, 1997, 2001, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Björin has participated in the World Poker Tour, but has not yet made a final table. He did, however, make a final table in the first season of the Professional Poker Tour.
His highest finish in the WSOP Main Event was 9th-place finish in 1997. He also cashed multiple times at the World Series of Poker Europe including a 3rd-place finish at the 2010 WSOPE £2,650 Six Handed No Limit Hold'em event.
Björin finished 2nd in the 2012 English Poker Open taking £49,680 in prize money.[1]
As of July 2011, his total live tournament winnings exceed $5,000,000.[2] His 61 cashes at the WSOP account for $2,202,542 of those winnings.[3]
As of July 2015, he is ranked as 2nd in the all time Sweden poker rankings.[4]

Nominations for the Poker Hall of Fame have officially opened today and will remain open through Dec. 11 at WSOP.com/PHOF.
All poker enthusiasts across the country and globe are encouraged to nominate those they feel most worthy of meeting the Poker Hall of Fame criteria:
- A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
- Be a minimum of 40-years-old at time of nomination
- Played for high stakes
- Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
- Stood the test of time
- Stood the test of time
- Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.
The 2019 finalists, all whom remain eligible for induction include: Chris Bjorin, David Chiu, Eli Elezra, Antonio Esfandiari, Chris Ferguson, Ted Forrest, Mike Matusow and Huckleberry Seed.
The open nomination process on WSOP.com is meant to identify other worthy nominees to fill out the finalist ballot, which will include 8-10 individuals.
Chris Bjorlin Poker Net Worth
On Dec. 16, Caesars Entertainment, Inc. will announce the finalist list, which will be delivered to the 32 living Hall of Fame members to cast their votes. Each Hall of Famer will have ten (10) total points to allocate as they see fit across the finalist nominees. In 2020, as was the case from 1980-2004, only one honoree will be inducted.
The 2020 inductee will be announced Dec. 30 just prior to the WSOP Main Event finale.
